Security:Public

Heya guys,

Long post since the last one, I know ^_^ Just writing in to inform that from now on, I'll be posting game/animation/whatev fandom-related fan art and scribbles under a new livejournal account:

[info]momochanners

It's just to separate the fangirly fandom ramblings from this journal, which will still (hopefully) be posted with general RL stuff, official work pimpage, and original art. If you still would like to follow my artwork-filled nerdouts, please head on over to said account.

Thanks!

Mood: blah

My computer, alas, has kicked the bucket. And right during the time I need it the most T_T Thanks for everything, Rustbucket.

I'll be going out to get a new one tomorrow (much earlier than I had planned to) so the unexpected expenses will definitely put a considerable dent in my finances for this month. To soften the impact, I'm putting up some artworks for auctioning on Ebay. If you have some extra cash and would like to own a hand-drawn piece by me, this would be a good time :3 Or if you know someone who might like to, by all means please point them to the direction of the links below:

8"x11" Padme Amidala greyscale

8"x11" Aerith Gainsborough greyscale

9"x12" Jean Grey/Phoenix greyscale

Thanks for viewing! (Even more if bidding ;))

So Bioware finally released the long awaited video of Zevran, the Salsa-flavoured Elf Assassin. Creative hijinks ensues on my part.

You just know something's coming his way, yes?

Full comic under cut for Knights of the Old Republic II spoilers )

If this seems familiar somehow, it's is a remake of a shorter comic strip I did eons ago...can't seem to find the file to post for comparison.

Today I turn 29. Cool!

Pleasantly surprised that I am not freaking out over the number as some people approaching the 3rd decade of their lives might do.

So between now and the big Three-Oh, I'd like to dedicate part of my time on original character art, double my efforts in creating more art for myself and others, and most importantly create comics from ideas that have been fermenting in my brain since the last 10 years, damn it. Because I don't want to type that last bit again when I hit 39 T_T

For me, District 9 is one of the strongest contenders for Film of the Year. The story is simple, yet the execution had me wrestling with feelings of sadness, anger, and hopefulness throughout the movie. In a good way, of course.

Hi y'all. Back from the Sunshine State since Monday. Currently going through a major case of jetlag; I've been up since 1 am. I hope to starve myself off sleep until 10-11 pm so that I can adjust the clock back to normal. Thank goodness for the Government-imposed mandatory one week quarantine for travellers coming back from the US to fight off the spread of Swine Flu, or else I'll be dead tired at work. So far no Swine flu symptoms yet, so yay. We'll see how it goes.

As I'm still moving through a zombie-like state, updates will have to come later in the week. Oh the stories to tell.

If there was a song that portrays the expression of OH SNAP, this would be it.

I love, love, love the Malaysian English she uses. The artiste, Zee Avi, just released her debut album this month! :D Will look out for it definitely.

Subject:Visiting Animation Studios
Security:Public
Mood: hopeful

As I mentioned in a previous post, I'll be attending San Diego Comic-Con this year, along with my two pals [info]darkkof and [info]onion_sama. After the con, we will be staying in the LA area for 5 days, to soak in the sun and fun (namely Disneyland and Universal Studios :D).

Seeing that all three of us are currently involved in the animation biz (me = story artist, [info]darkkof and [info]onion_sama= assistant directors) and working on the same show (http://www.saladin.tv/splash/), we're thinking that it would be cool if we could visit any of the studios that created the animations we've enjoyed and loved. Seeing that a number of them are in California, it be a really missed opportunity if we didn't try since it's quite rare we have the chance to go to the US.

So, I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who's in the animation scene can help us out by providing advice/tips/leads/assistance in this matter. Are there any prerequisites to be able to visit the studios (eg. YOU MUST BE EPICLY AWESOME T_T)? Is there any protocol/procedure I need tobe aware of in approaching this? How do I go about requesting for permission? Will I need to engage in agressive form-filling? Etc, etc.

Any help would be really appreciated!

NOBUO UEMATSU WAS IN THE HOUSE THAT NIGHT XD XD XD

My friend and I were lamenting the lack of the more iconic pieces in the programme that night, such as the ever epic 'Terra's Theme'....so imagine how ecstatic we were when Arnie Roth (the conductor) announced the choice for the encore XD XD XD

Okay, this is going to sound a bit ridiculous...

...but this is the first ever game trailer that actually made my eyes well up (I can blame it on the hormones, but I'll just credit the beautiful character animation).

Gorgeous, gorgeous stuff from Team ICO.

Another reason why Star Trek is awesome:

Nathan Fillion saw it twice.

I never thought that Star Trek of all things would call upon my dormant, deeply-buried shotacon instincts @o@;

All in all, loved the movie to bits, especially the characters.

In another note, I'm 99.9% confirmed heading to San Diego Comic-Con this year. Anyone else on LJ is going?
